MotionBUS DeviceNet

Developed by Allen Bradley, the DeviceNet specifications are now managed by the Open DeviceNet Vendor Association (ODVA) which includes a wide range of devices. DeviceNet is a two connection system based on CAN that works with a data transmission speed rate in the range between 125 and 500 kbps. The RS 485 standard is used as transmission protocol. The DeviceNet specification recommends two cable types: the first one for the execution of the back-bones (trunk/thick) and the second one for the derivation connections to the devices (drop/thin). Both are flexible cables composed of two individually shielded twisted pairs, dedicated respectively to data transportation and power supply to the devices. You can find it in PVC and PUR solutions.
